Date Masamune , Motochika Chosokabe (Sengoku Basara, Samurai Warriors 3) | Cosplay tests
My sister gets an A+ for only taking pictures where I make dumb expressions, so you get my pixel face. (Well I didn’t have my glasses on for Masamune so my eyes were extra squinty…..)
My dad gets an A+ for being my dad.
Anyways, I now know what things need tweaking. (THERE’S LESS THAN A WEEK LEFT I’M GOING TO SCREAM)

Three days worth of cosplay progress, part 3/3
Things to do with Motochika Chosokabe (SW), Kiyomasa Kato (SW), and Masamune Date (SB).
1. I finished the fur scarf thing. The sewing machine kept messing up so this to 50x longer than it should have.
2. The foam blade is primed, and the accents have been attached and painted yellow. The more I look at it, the more I wonder if it’s even possible to carry the finished product.
3. I made a packaging tape cast of my leg, so to make it easier to make leg armor.
4. Pieces of foam for the leg armor of Motochika Chosokabe and Masamune Date have been cut out, as well as a belt accent for Kiyomasa Kato. There are 4 more pieces of general leg armor to cut out.
Phew, to more days of productivity. (I want to cry)

Date Masamune’s Helmet // Sengoku Basara
I haven’t posted anything in a while - uni is stealing my life. Anyways, this is something I finished a few weeks ago but was too lazy to post. I used a papercraft (i found the link somewhere in the sengoku basara tag ages ago) as a template and went from there. I like how it came out except for the fact that it looks like a basketball if you view it from the top (my painting technique is wonky). Anyhow, one of two posts on things I made in the past month.
I’m starting work on cosplays. Technically I should be working on a video for a scholarship, but I am waiting on my partner for that. Anyways, chain mail for my Date Masamune (SB) cosplay. I am too cheap/poor to buy thicker wire so I am making do with this really thin wire. I’m wrapping the wire by hand so my fingers hurt. (I miss working on cosplay).

Oops I should start working on Hanbei’s weapon again. And I need to properly start on Motochika’s shamisen. asjfdkaj I still have the shamisen I made for physics and I’m wondering if I can build off that one… maybe i should just restart. Masamune’s swords need proper sheaths and I’ve just started on Ieyasu’s armguard things. I only have ONE completed prop that looks nice SOB. I’m spamming the tags again, aren’t I… OOPS

Date Masamune’s Swords // Sengoku Basara
I swear the hardest thing in the world is attempting to take a picture of yourself holding six swords Basara Masamune style. I gave up on that and had my sister help me afterwards. One day I will be able to hold them properly. Bonus pictures of swords with my current favourite non-electronic thing in the world; my Date Masamune Basara bandanna.
Swords are done; shealths still need to be sewed.
